There are lots of ways of taking off your unwanted hair, but removing the hair is usually a boring, undesirable and a long activity.

Many have possibly attempted systems such as removing hair by waxing and using shavers, but these just last briefly. In a lot of instances the hair will re-emerge and with more thickness than it normally would have been formerly.

Hair waxing can help achieve hair free skin for around 8 weeks at the best, but the total procedure is on the whole failry tedious. It means that you will need to put on a decent amount of hot wax to the hairy skin, and then rip the piece of strip that you have placed that is covering the wax as fast as possible. This is why the process is awful, and not too dissimilar to tearing off a band-aid.

There are a large number of cosmetics that claim to remove from the skin the hair unwanted hair by merely dissolving it within moments. But the creams by and large do not smell particularly nice and can sometimes be harmful to any sensitive skin if it is applied and you leave them on the skin for excessive time. You will also need to conduct a test these available creams with a tiny application to check for any bad skin reaction prior to applying them correctly

Removal of Hair Using Laser At Home

There are numerous laser hair removal options at proper hair removal companies, including laser beam hair removal. But having said that, a lot of people wanting laser hair removal will decide to undertake laser hair remedies like this in the retreat of their residence. There are actually a fair amount of try your self laser hair treatment procedures in good outlets for this purpose. These products can often end up being truly affordable.

If you want to explore the idea of laser hair elimination by your self at home and you can do this with a little version of a easy to manage laser beam. This is carried out targeting continuous beams of laser power into the unwanted hair follicles, in turn preventing them from growing hair in the coming time. The usually portable measurements of the domestic laser beam hair treatment apparatus generally means you can target separate hair areas.

The effectiveness of home laser hair removal will rest on how you use your laser beam pulse.

Safety of laser hair removal?: A laser is usually a very concentrated beam of confined light. It cannot cause life threatening disease such as cancer. It just goes as deep as up to the outer layers of the skin. It is pretty dangerous for the sight. You will probably have goggles for protecting your eye sight when getting laser hair removal treatment. The chance exists of the skin layer being darkened by laser due to the melanin of the skin. Excessive exposure to the laser can result in the skin with paler pigmentation that takes a long time to vanish. Applying too much heat means un-desired blistering and on the odd occasion scarring more often seen in non light skin and people with recent tans. The less tanned your skin before therapy even more safer and more superior the remedy.

You should think about not having laser beam hair elimination if you know that you are sensitive to light or there is a known infection on the area getting hair removed. You must not have therapy if if you have had isotretinoin ad an acne remedy over the previous year.

Is Laser Hair removal ever lasting? Laser hair elimination and electrolysis have been recognized as the only permanent hair removal treatment. The application of laser hair treatment can slow the pace of re growth of your hair taking several months or normally much longer. The re emerging hair will be generally thin hair.

Because UV rays are getting more and more aggressive due to depletion of the ozone layer, women are favoring Fake Tan to natural suntans. There are two ways in which you could get yourself an artificial tan: either from exposure to artificial sources of UV rays at the parlor, or by making use of skin tanning products in the form of creams, lotions, sprays and so on, which contain Di Hydroxy Acetone (DHA) that provokes the oxidization of the superficial cells of the skin. But the big question is… are methods of artificial tanning really safer than sun tanning? This article attempts to answer this query and provides some valuable advice regarding artificial tanning. Read on.

Indeed, several myths revolve around these two ways of getting a Fake Tan, and people seem to often ignorant or misguided about the dangers and adverse effects that they could be exposing themselves to. To begin with – believe it or not – many people often fail to make out the difference between sun protection skin products and sun tanning skin products. The fact is, suntan creams and lotions do not protect you from the harmful rays of the sun because their formula doesn’t contain UV filters. They must therefore on no account be used at the time of prolonged exposure to sun rays. Unfortunately, many people believe that wearing sun tanning products at the same time as they are getting a natural suntan would accelerate the process. The end result could be very harmful to their skin.

When applying any product that aims at providing a Fake Tan, you should also avoid areas around the eyebrows, the hair root, and the heels. It is equally important that you wash your hands carefully after the use of any sun tanning product to avoid getting the product into your eyes, which could be very harmful. If not applied uniformly all over the skin, tanning products can cause differences in skin tone as well as darker areas that appear when dead cells choke pores. This is precisely why it is always recommended to apply the tanning products over clean and dry skin, and to exfoliate the skin regularly after getting yourself a Fake Tan. When deciding over which skin tanning product you would opt for, try to see if they are hypoallergenic and non-fragrant in order to avoid risks of allergies.

Some people prefer getting their Fake Tan at a parlor or beauty clinic, believing that this would be much safer and more professionally done. However, dermatologists are not of this same opinion. Even though tanning lamps mainly use UVA rays because they are believed to be less aggressive than UVB rays, skin burns can still happen. In fact, twenty minutes spent under intense UVA rays is equivalent to two hours of exposure to UVB rays at the beach.

Before opting for any product to get a Fake Tan, it is always a good idea to consult your dermatologist, pharmacist or beautician for a diagnosis of your skin type and determine the most suitable product for you.

However, this young man had faith that he could do it, and in all kinds of weather he ran a marathon a day for weeks, running from the east coast of Canada nearly to Thunder Bay where cancer over took him.

The worst of all and the cancer of the retail path is gossip. Even after the age of 50 you should also not be suffering from cancerous conditions because your body is designed to stop most cases of cancer before they even start.

Previously, the only screening test for prostate cancer was a digital rectal exam. Inhibition of these reactions may help with anti-cancer treatment. For this reason, some treatments include hormone treatment for prostate cancer.

Cancer may be ubiquitous, creating turmoil and despair. Although most age spots are harmless blotches, the early stages of skin cancer can masquerade as innocent looking dark spots. Exposing skin – the face, ear, neck, lips, and the backs of the hands – to the sun causes most nonmelanoma skin cancer.

Also, they were able to walk faster and further in only four weeks and they experienced less cancer related fatigue than the control group. There a pathologist will determine if the cells are skin cancer forming cells. An experienced dermatologist can often determine whether a growth on the skin is or is not cancerous just by looking at it.

If one or both of your breasts are in pain, again it’s important to keep in mind that you don’t necessarily have breast cancer. While doctors don’t fully understand exactly what causes prostate cancer, there are some risk factors that do increase a man’s likelihood of developing this disease. This results in reduced risks of heart disease, cancer and improved immune system functions.

As scientists are researching ways to prevent and treat skin cancer, the results involving green tea are promising. Other diseases related to asbestos are lung cancer and asbestosis. And of course a diet that’s higher in dietary fibre that comes from a vegetarian diet will decrease the likelihood or risk of colon cancer.

This treatment involves the removal of the tumour and some adjacent healthy tissues in order to stem the cancer spread. If the samples reveal skin cancer, the dermatologist will remove the growth in one of a number of ways. In fact, only skin cancer is more common.

Women with breast cancer find that Femara and fertility concerns are congruent. Many health problems ranging from parasites to cancer can result from drinking contaminated water.

It is now possible for researchers to make sense of the causation of a variety of pathological conditions, including cancer, heart disease, atherosclerosis, arthritis, Alzheimer’s and other diseases of old age, and to work towards counteracting and preventing these conditions.

There is an ever-increasing amount of research that suggests certain types of sugars can have an enormous benefit to our health, including boosting human immune response, to inhibiting cancerous tumour growth.

The cause of Mantle cell lymphoma and of the other cancers of the lymphatic system called lymphomas is represented by the errors that can occur in the production of a lymphocyte. Researchers in India discovered a link between the rise in carbonation consumption and esophageal cancer in America over the past two decades.

Actions may not ward off cancer (they did not for me); they will allow time to manage it quickly and wisely.

Before going into some things you can do to avoid prostate cancer it needs to be mentioned that there are unfortunately some obstacles that simply can’t be avoided. By using a sunless tanning lotion you can avoid the skin cancer risk that comes from the sun.

When making a trip to the beach, you usually go equipped with several things. A towel, a hat and sunglasses, a big bottle of sun block, comfortable clothes and slippers, lots of water and, if you’re planning to spend most of the day there, maybe a chair and a large umbrella. But sometimes, even with all these preparations, the day ends with your skin either too dark or too red to look attractive. This is only natural; there is no way to control or accurately predict the strength of the sun rays, and thus no way to measure how long you need to stay in it to get that perfect shade of bronze that you crave.

There are a few ways to get the shade of your choice but of all those, only two are worth mentioning. The first is temporary, cheap and easy to apply. Tanning lotions can be found at any drugstore or supermarket with instructions as to how to get the best effects. All you have to do is rub the lotion evenly over your skin and sit long enough to let it dry, which usually isn’t more than ten minutes. If you require a darker shade, simply add another layer on top of the first one, and so on. If you’re in a rush for your tan, this is the way to go.

The other method is not cheap and not very fast, but doesn’t come off in the shower either. Using a tanning bed regularly will ensure that your tan stays, and the color is entirely controllable. All you have to do is adjust the lamps to the strength that you want. If you don’t know exactly how high they should be, simply ask around in a nearby fitness center or spa or check the accompanying manual. Spreading a little oil on your skin before diving under the lamps can make the process a little faster. However, lying under them for hours on end is not healthy and will do more harm than good in the long run.

Of course, both of these methods don’t give you the joy and relaxation you can get from the beach, even if your skin gets a little burned as a sacrifice. Science, no matter how convenient, cannot compete against the beauty of nature. It is unfortunate that most people do not have the time to enjoy much of it and reap the benefits.

More Tips on Getting the Most of Your Fake Tan

Any treatment that you give your skin after application of the fake tan will obviously affect it.
If you exfoliate your skin after having applied a fake tan then there is a possibility that it could make the tan look streaky.

When applying your tan try to do it in a relaxed manner.
If you don’t have enough time to apply the tan evenly over your whole body then postpone it until you have sufficient time.
There are two reasons why I say this;
If you’re applying the tan in a rushed manner then you are unlikely to blend it correctly for it to look natural.
The second reason is when you’re rushing you’re more likely to perspire.
When you perspire this can have a reaction with tan and result in a color that is not quite what you want.

Always give the tan time to dry before getting dressed.
If this is not possible then wear light baggy clothing that will allow the tan to dry without causing marks.

Be aware that shaving can also cause the tan to look streaky so if you do need to shave any parts of the body do so before applying the tan.

Moisturizing twice a day will help to prolong the time your tan will last.
As the tan begins to fade there are products on the market that contain levels of self tanner.
These are great for topping up your tan.
Another trick that you can use is to mix a small portion of the self tanning cream with your normal body cream.

This is actually quite a good trick that can be used on its own.
If you haven’t used a fake tan before and are unsure about the application and how it will look, using a combination of the tan mixed with your favorite body cream can help you to add color to your skin more slowly

While you should make every effort to feel healthy year-round, certain aspects of summer require special health-keeping measures. So, with summer just around the corner, you should ask yourself: are you feeling as healthy as you could be?

To begin, we all know that the sun’s UVB rays – the rays that are responsible for sunburns and tans – strengthen over the summer. So, while it’s important to protect your skin year-round due to UVA rays – the rays than can cause skin cancer – using a higher SPF sun cream over the summer can help prevent further skin damage.

However, if you’re really yearning for that golden tan, use a tanning lotion or self-tanning spray. Whether you apply these products yourself or have them applied professionally by tanning salons, you’ll be doing your skin a favour by sparing it burns, wrinkles, and possible skin cancer. There are also a number of tanning lotions on the market that give you a believable tan, without the orange streaks – so no one has to know its fake!

Another aspect of the summer sun is that it’s very drying – not only to your skin, but to your hair and body in general. While many people don’t think it’s necessary to use a skin moisturizer in the summer, it’s a good idea to apply a light one under your sun cream. As well as helping your sun cream soak in, a skin moisturizer will help offset any drying effects of the sun.

Similarly, you’ll want to use hair conditioner on your hair to help reverse the drying affects of the sun. If you feel your hair gets oily during the summer due to the heat, apply hair conditioner only on the ends where it tends to get the driest. Hair conditioner is also particularly important if you use a blow-dryer or straightening iron to style your hair. Along with the sun’s damaging effects, heat styling can take the lustre out of your hair.

Just as your skin and hair can dry out during the summer, so can your body. As the heat rises outside, your body is prone to sweat more – which means you’re likely to become dehydrated if you don’t drink enough water. A good way to ensure you’re drinking enough water – about eight glasses each day – is to keep a measured bottle with you at all times. So, if your bottle holds about 4 glasses of water, you know that you should drink at least two full bottles over the course of the day.

Another way to enjoy a healthy lifestyle this summer is to get more exercise outside. Most of us tend to spend the cold winter months indoors, not getting much exercise. But as the weather starts to warm up, it’s worth taking advantage of outdoor activities. Whether you enjoy walking, running, hill climbing or swimming, summer is the ideal time to experience the outdoors.

Still, it’s important to remember that even in taking steps to get healthy this summer, it’s still possible to fall ill or to get hurt. So, along with the various health measures mentioned, it’s always wise to have a comprehensive health insurance policy in place.

Ensuring you’re protected if anything should go wrong with your health will add an important finishing touch to your health regime this summer.

Are you as confused as the next person about how much sun is too much and which sunscreen is necessary?

Have you ever stood in the store feeling so overwhelmed by all the choices you have, or by the price or SPF (Sun Protection Factor) number on the bottle?

Read on to find out what’s good and what isn’t when it comes to protecting the largest organ: your skin.

Read the Label

Beware of the cheaper, and still unregulated, American brands of sunscreen which are a cocktail of toxic chemicals. Since 1997, the only chemical allowed in Canadian-approved sunscreens is Parsol 1789 (avobenzone). Some brands of sunscreen will use either titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. These protective ingredients are mineral based – not chemical based – and therefore are good to look for.

Look for a sunscreen that is waterproof, sweat-proof and safe-for-sensitive-skin. Always check the expiry date. After the expiry date, the SPF level of the sunscreen will decrease.

An SPF of 30 is a total block from the UVA & UVB rays of the sun. Anything with a number higher than 30 SPF cannot be regulated. SPF 30 is the total block…but you still need to reapply it.

Facts & Fiction

Getting it Together has come up with some facts and fiction to help you have a sun-safe fun summer or a winter vacation that takes you away to find the warmth of the sun.

FICTION When it is cloudy you are safe from the sun’s rays. 15 + 30 = 45. Putting one SPF on top of another doesn’t add up. If you want SPF 45 you’ll have to use SPF 45. Money talks. The more you pay for your sunscreen, the better it is. FACTS

1. One in every three people gets skin cancer!

Even mild sunburns can lead to wrinkles or even skin cancer down the road. 90% of premature aging and skin cancers are caused by sun exposure. 5-10% of all skin cancers appear on the eyelids. The lower lip is especially susceptible to squamous cell carcinoma – a type of skin cancer. The skin never heals 100% after a burn, so best to avoid getting one.

2. There is no such thing as a healthy tan

You may look and feel it, but sun exposure isn’t healthy. If you must go to a tanning salon, wear sunscreen. Or better yet, use a sunless tanning lotion on your body and bronzing powders on your face. Check out www.marykay.ca for more information.

3. Sunscreens protect your face and body from the harmful UVB rays

Use the right one with the right SPF for your skin tone.

For example:

Fair skin burns in 10 minutes without sunscreen on. If you were to wear a sunscreen with an SPF of 15, you would be protected for 15 x 10 minutes = 150 minutes. After 150 minutes it would be best to get out of the sun. If you plan on being in the sun longer, wear an SPF of 30 – which would give you 300 minutes of sun protection. Mary Kay sunscreens are safe for ages 6 months old and up, are waterproof and approved by the Skin Cancer Foundation.

4. Where do those rays come from?

Ninety percent of the sun’s rays bounce off water, sand, concrete and snow. It is best to wear sunscreen all year long; especially on your face and neck.

5. Clouds block only 20% of harmful UV radiation. And it has medicinal effects.

Moderate, unprotected exposure to UV rays (from 10 to 15 minutes a day) is actually good for you as it helps generate Vitamin D – which strengthens bones, muscles and your immune system. It also, ironically, helps to prevent the growth of cancerous tumours. Sunshine also regulates serotonin and tryptamine levels – which are the neurotransmitters responsible for your moods and body temperature.

Make the most of your summer and/or your vacation. Enjoy the sun, water sports, boating, biking and whatever activities you choose. Just remember to always have sunscreen on; carry it with you. Don’t get caught off-guard and end up with a really bad, irreparable burn…or worse – skin cancer. Always practice good sun safety with children. We get more sun exposure by the time we are six years old than what we need for a lifetime. Protect your children and you’ll help towards protecting their future.

Together Tips

Having your sunscreen handy in the car, beach bag and bathroom cupboard so you are never caught without it. Buy one bottle for your vehicle, one for your beach bag and another for the house. That way, you never need to remember to bring it; it’ll always be there. You know how the weather can change from one minute to the next. Make a habit of putting your sunscreen on every morning no matter how much or little you will be outside. Ensure you cover all exposed skin.
