Robert Adanto (Director and Nicolas) is an actor, director, teacher, and independent documentary filmmaker who earned his MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Since 1995, he has taught an interdisciplinary humanities course at Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences, as well as a class dedicated to his literary mentor - William Shakespeare.
In 2007, Mr. Adanto was the recipient of the National Association of Independent Schools' Leading Edge Award for Global Sustainability, for the AIDS education and activism program he founded in 2005, the Crossroads Teen AIDS Ambassadors.
He made his debut as a documentary filmmaker with The Rising Tide, a film exploring China's metamorphoses through the work of China's leading photographers and video artists, including the internationally recognized Cao Fei, Wang Qingsong, and Xu Zhen. The film has screened at the Royal Ontario Museum, Worcester Art Museum, the Bates College Museum of Art, and Mr. Adanto has been invited to screen The Rising Tide at both The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum in Miami and the Smithsonian Institution's Hirshhorn Museum. www.therisingtidefilm.com
Bill Heck (Victor) Bill's last show at HIGHWAYS was Egg Farm which he wrote, performed and produced with VITALITY Productions. Also with VITALITY: directed Boys' Life for which he also designed set and sound, acted in The Receptionist, fight director for The Credeaux Canvas. Broadway: Brooklyn Boy (MTC). Bill Heck
Angela Ledgerwood (Gila) appeared in the Off-Broadway debut of The Boys in New York, and The Informer at CalArts. In Australia she appeared in Sky Seamen at the Seymore Centre Sydney (Finalist Sydney Short & Sweet festival’06 & winner of the People’s Choice Award), Actors Anonymous at The East Village, and Lorca: A Tragic Dream at The Newtown Theatre. Her TV credits include Blackjack "Ghosts" Channel Nine Australia.
Angela has a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts from Sydney University, and a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Sydney University/Cornell University. She has also studied at The Atlantic Theatre Company in NY, Shakespeare & Co. Mass. and the Australian College of Theatre & Television.
Joe Metcalf (Nicky) is a 13 year old eighth grade student at Crossroads Middle School. He has been acting since the age of 8. How The Grinch Stole Christmas is his favorite play, which he performed in at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego.
