I have used at least a dozen different self tanners including lotions, sprays, and foams – both grocery store and department store brands. This is easily my favorite. It provides a gradual, natural, BROWN tan (not orange or fake looking). It is very easy to use, doesn’t streak, and doesn’t smell bad as many others do. I actually started using it while on vacation and I really thought that I had a natural tan (which I try to avoid, being over 30 and fair skinned), but after continuing to use it when I returned, I realized that it was the product. As I am posting this review, I am replenishing my supply and I hope that Coppertone will continue to produce this product!

I have used plenty of sunless tanners before so I shouldn’t have much trouble. It’s early spring so I thought I’d try this one since it’s “building” a tan- which implies that it doesn’t turn you orange in one shot, but it does. I also got wicked streaks on the backs of my legs and blotches on ankles and feet despite being VERY careful applying it. I really wouldn’t recommend this product, even without the streaks the color is far too orange and isn’t really gradual at all. I applied the color mid-afternoon and the full color developed by the next morning by the way.

This sunless tanner turned me orange. I started out as being very pale light white, and then only went orangish. The more I used, the darker the orange got. (I know another person who used this product, who started with a bit of a base tan already, and she tanned with it beautifully. She wasn’t orange at all.)

It dried quickly (within 10 minutes) but still felt wet to the touch for a few hours. It wipes off easily when you towel dry off after a shower and comes off while you shave in the shower.

I used the tanner before I went to sleep and the next day the color was there already. It’s great for a quick color fix, and it can safely be applied every 8 hours if needed.

The first time I used it, it made me very streaky (that may be my fault though, I may not have applied it evenly). The next few times I used it after that, the color evened out.

The smell of the product was not as abrasive as most other sunless tanners, but it did still have a similar odor.

If the color was more tan rather than orange I’d like it better, but I do recommend it to others.

I bought this on a whim, & I am sooo glad I did! I applied it after my shower, just like lotion, let it dry & pretty much forgot about it. The next day I was running late, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to skip a day. I was getting dressed & thought I looked a little darker, but didn’t think it would work that fast. It did! I’m glad I skipped a day– I have very pale skin, & another application may have been too much right away. If you have pale skin, this is what I would reccommend; b/c even though you see results almost right away, the color developed even more by the 2nd day. Also, I wouldn’t use too much–just a thin layer–as much more can make you feel sticky. It smells good, too.

I also have “problem” skin, yet have not experienced any break-outs after using this. I have not, however, worn make-up over it, so I don’t know if it will affect application or wear at all. If nothing else, just use this before you go to bed. LOVE IT!!! I would reccommend this to anyone.

This easy to use, non streaking diluted tanner works great becuase you build up the tan you want by using this product over several days. I had not problems with hand staining becuase I put lotion on my hands first and then washed throughly after applying the Sunless Tanning lotion. I saw the tan appear after a few hours and it was a nice faint color. By the third day it was the light tan (not deep) that looked natural on me. No more florescent white legs.

Unfortunately, I started itching where I applied it after a few days. Then 2 days after that a very itchy fine rash appeared on my arms and legs. I stopped using Sunless Tanning but the rash kept getting worse. I scrubbed my legs trying to get the irritant off, but it did not help.

It itched so badly that I scratched till I had open sores on my legs and arms for over a week. Finally they went away.

That was 2 months ago. Yesterday I thought I would try it one more time just in case it was something else because otherwise this is a great product. By evening the itch was back and this morning I am again covered in a fine itchy rash. I’m giving it to a friend who has less sensitive skin.

I have only had problems in the past with products on my face. Things like retinal and other strong products would make my skin turn red and burn.

So this is a great tanner- UNLESS YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN !!!

No odor, never transfers onto clothing. Natural color on fair skin-never too dark. Exfoliate well in shower. Rub dab of regular, non-tanning lotion into kneecaps, elbows. I used this on my whole body (head to toe) before a cruise. I got a nice brown color. I only had some very, very slight orange streaks when I continued to use it after I had turned a nice tan. Once you hit that point, you should use it every 3 or 4 days to maintain the brown and you won’t get the orange.

The green-tea is a little odd, but you get used to it and it is not noticeable to others. It is a much better smell than many other self-tanning creams have!

This is a great product and it gives my pasty white skin just the right amount of a light brown glow. It doesnt smell nearly as bad as Jergens Natural Glow, though it is a bit more expensive. It’s not only a great gradual tanner but it’s also a great moisturiser and when applying you don’t really need a lot. I’d recommend applying after a shower before bed and wearing loose fitting clothes…great product!

I’m pasty pale with freckles and will burn if I try to “tan.” Plus, I don’t care for the cancer risk. I’ve tried sunless tanners in the past and turned orange. I don’t want to go to the spa for a spray tan because it’s expensive.

I don’t need a tan, just some color to keep from being so pasty. LOreal Sunless Sublime Glow Daily Moisturizer Fair Skin Tones worked great for me. I had a hint of tan color within a day, nice and even, and it got a little better each day. It didn’t look weird on my fair skin. It was nice and subtle, without taking forever to emerge. The micro pearl flecks also gave me a nice immediate glow. By the way, on my face, I used LOreal Sunless Sublime Glow Daily Moisturizer Face for Fair Skin, which did not have the pearl flecks, but did have SPF 15. It doesn’t give as much color, but that is okay because I wear makeup anyway.

Some people complain about the smell, but I think it depends on taste. I’ve seen in other reviews that it smells like tea, and it does a little. My husband doesn’t even know what I’m putting on, but last night in bed, he commented that I smelled so good, and he kept sniffing me because he liked it better than those floral or fruity lotions. He had never complimented my lotion scent before!

It is great as a moisturizer, too, my dry skin feels nice and hydrated all day. It’s a bonus that it is giving me a little color, too.

I give it five stars!
