I’d give this 5 stars but the only thing that stops me from giving it 5 stars is the price… the shipping on here is spendy! I bought mine at a local salon and it cost about the same as here with shipping because I didn’t want to wait for a shipment. If you search online you can get a better deal…FYI.

Now, on to why I love it so much!!

Background on my skin is that I suffer from psoriasis. I have more bottles of lotions, body butters, powders, sprays, soaps, ect. than you can think of! All in my quest to find something that will ease the dryness and pain from my psoriasis. This is not a cure claim, just another possible weapon on the battle of dry skin and/or psoriasis.

It started with a little sample. I’ve had the sample for several months waiting to be used. The hemp leaf was a bit of a turn off to be honest and was probably why I didn’t try it sooner. I recieved it from a salon I get my pedicures at, sort of as a joke for a family memeber.

The months go by and I was on another quest to find that elusive lotion that I could find relief from. From the very first time I opened the little packet, I was hooked!

It smells… well.. YUMMY! Sort of a banana, melon, bubble gum. It’s fragerance is not overpowering. It melted into my skin instantly with no greasyness or tackyness leaving nothing but a natural feeling softness to my skin.

Washing your hands does not turn them into a slimy mess and you still feel moisturized afterward. How many lotions can you say that about?

While I do wish it was less expensive and easier to get. This is one of the very few products I will say is worth the money.

The product is great- but the shipping was outrageous… The company changed the amount charged for shipping and when I called to ask why it was an additional .00, they stated that the .95 was their base price and then they charged per ounce of product — 18 ounces of lotion cost an additional .00; .95 for shipping, .95 for the lotion- would have been cheaper to purchase at a local store. They didn’t seem to really know what was going on and the product came wrapped in old newspapers.. Not very professional. I wouldn’t purchase from this seller again, but I would buy the product, Hempz Lotion, from a different seller.

Okay, I may have some issues about moisturizers…I use them multiple times throughout the day. I have moisturizer bottles stashed everywhere. I cannot stand dry skin (see, I told you I have issues…). After trying pretty much every brand out there, I can honestly say that this is the best moisturizer I have ever used. It is not greasy. It smells great. I’ve been using this lotion for years. It’s so smooth on the skin, and never greasy. I love it. The company I bought it from, Lotions2Go, sent the plunger in several separate pieces (with no directions) and it took three of us 20 minutes to figure out how to put it all together and make it work. It also took 3 weeks for my lotion to arrive. The lotion is awesome. The company is not.

Someone gave me about a half bottle of the original many yeas ago and I just fell in love with it, but couldn’t find it anywhere around where I live. So one day I hopped on Amazon.com and just wanted to see if they had it. Unfortunately the original was sold out, but they had the Cucumber and Jasmine for sale. I use a cucumber scented perfume so I decided to order it and try it out.

Well it arrived today, in excellent condition, and I tried it out immediately. It’s still as moisturizing and silky as I remember, but the smell was not what I was expecting. It’s smells more like baby powder/lotion and is very powerful, but not completely unpleasant. And thankfully it won’t clash with my perfume nor my deodorant. So overall I’m pleased with my order, but when it runs out (which with the size of the bottle will be a very long time from now…LOL) I’ll most likely order the original then.

This product may have outworn its shelf life. It did not have either a cucumber or jasmine smell, rather a stale kind of odor. Was very disappointed as Hempz products are generally very nice.

everyone who views this product has one question in mind: should i buy the Body Shop’s Hemp Body Butter, or is this basically just as good at half the price? that was my question, also. i wash my hands 10 or more times per day, and take up to 5 showers in a day. also, daily workouts and or tennis don’t help the skin dryness. lotions were not working. even with expensive lotions like Oil of Olay and Neutrogena, my face was so dry, it was embarrassing. a nice girl at the Body Shop in Lisbon, Portugal recommended i try the Body Shop’s Body Butter, and this product was a revelation! but after 2 years of .00 a tub, i began experimenting with other butters, hoping for a cheaper price. Delon, and others. well, this Hempz arrived yesterday, and i did an experiment. half the body in the Body Shope’s Sweet Chestnut, and half in Hempz Herbal Skin Care Butter. after 10 hours, there was no difference. the smell of the Hempz product is just as nice. the packaging is better with the Hempz (if you remove the body shop logo and put both side-by-side, and were asked to pick the most expensive looking tub, you’d pick Hempz) . and Hemps gives you 8 ounces as opposed to the Body Shop’s 6.9 or 6.7 ounces. so, the answer is: this is just as good as the Body Shop’s product, at half the price. no kidding. i’m shocked! 5 stars. it should be in the bathroom of every cost-conscious OCD hand-washer!
